Best Paper Award at VRIPHYS 2017

Members of the Graphics Group won the highly prestigious Best Paper Award at VRIPHYS - Virtual Reality Interactions and Physical Simulations 2017 in Lyon, France.

In co-operation with industry partner FIFTY2 Technology, the Graphics Group with Prof. Matthias Teschner developed a generalized drag force model that accounts for the realistic interaction of particle fluids and solids with the surrounding air. Using the introduced model, time- and memory-consuming two-phase simulations can be avoided.
