International Student Conference on Microtechnology 2014

From October 6 - 10, 2014 the " International Student Conference on Micro Technology 2014” will take place at IMTEK - Department of Microsystems Engineering ( University of Freiburg ). The conference is tailored for students of engineering and natural sciences in their final years of study and for young PhD students. The international student conference provides a rich program with high-profile speakers and attractive prizes.

Life science, energy, otpics industrial applications and robotics in the 21st century are the thematic focus of the scientific program of the conference, which takes place from October 6 to 10, 2014 at IMTEK - Department of Microsystems Engineering ( University of Freiburg ) in Freiburg. Outstanding speakers will provide insights into current issues of microsystems technology. A job fair with leading companies from the cluster region, active in the area of microsystem technology, offers direct contacts and networking opportunities for a professional career. A science slam session and a creative team contest with attractive prizes are other highlights.

At the end of the conference, from October 10 ( from the afternoon ) until October 12, 2014, the participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the cluster MicroTEC Südwest, 
its members and the region. The program includes visits to renowned companies in microsystems technology and modern research facilities. This Post Conference Program is organized by Baden-Württemberg International .

The International Student Conference is part of a series of activities and events which  provides interested students access to a career in the field of microsystems technology in the top-level cluster MicroTEC Südwest. The International Student Conference is organized by of the Institute of Microsystem Technology ( IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg in cooperation with the University of Furtwangen. The conference is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
