The project team „GEnERIC“ consisting of members of the Chair of Microelectronics at IMTEK and the Hahn-Schickard working groups „Artificial Intelligence“ in Villingen und „Microelectronics“ in Freiburg was awarded first place in the category ASIC-22FDX of the innovation challenge "Energy-efficient AI-System" performed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
The team will thus be supported by one million Euro for implementing its ideas on the detection of atrial fibrilation by means of energy-efficient AI-based integrated circuits.
