Promoting young research talents and sustainable technologies

Since 2016, the Gips-Schüle Foundation has been funding two professorships at the Department for Sustainable Systems Engineering (INATECH), Faculty of Engineering at the University of Freiburg. As part of its supervisory board meeting, the foundation now visited the INATECH.

Rector Prof. Dr. Kerstin Krieglstein praised the Foundation's long-term and foresighted commitment to sustainability. Already since 2016, the Gips-Schüle Foundation has been specifically promoting sustainable technologies at the University of Freiburg.

Doctoral students from the professorships "Power Electronics" and "Sustainable Systems Engineering" presented their research with short lectures and posters. In addition, students from the Bachelor's and Master's degree programme "Sustainable Systems Engineering" presented numerous scientific experiments and phenomena: from the eddy current brake to the superconductor.
