Obituary

The staff of the Fritz Hüttinger Chair for Energy-Efficient High-Frequency Electronics of the Department of Sustainable Systems Engineering at the University of Freiburg mourn the death of their benefactor

Dr. Fritz Ruf,

who passed away at the end of May at the age of 96.

Dr. Ruf was an always open-minded, highly interested and charismatic supporter of the University of Freiburg with diverse interests. Together with his wife Gerda, he supported the chairs for microelectronics and for energy-efficient high-frequency electronics at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Freiburg.

His versatile curiosity, his generosity, and his wise eye for the challenges of the coming generations are an example to us.

We will keep Dr. Ruf in grateful memory.
