Faculty of Engineering Alumni Prize 2024 awarded

Polina Shilikhina and Dhruv Shah honoured for outstanding commitment.

On 19 December 2024, Dr. Rainer Giersiepen, Alumni Representative of the Faculty of Engineering, presented the Alumni Award certificates to Polina Shilikhina and Dhruv Shah. The prize, sponsored by Alumni Freiburg e.V., is awarded annually to students and graduates who use the knowledge aqcuired during their studies for charitable purposes.

Commitment to STEM and intercultural exchange

Polina Shilikhina was honoured for her promotion of technical interest among schoolgirls, while Dhruv Shah was honoured for his commitment to the Founders' Club Freiburg e.V. and the University of Freiburg's Intercultural Mentoring Programme. Both award winners make an important contribution to society and to the promotion of talent and international exchange.
