The first contact between Johannes Erhardt and the scientists from the University of California was established after the junior researcher in the cluster of excellence BrainLinks – BrainTools had presented his newest research findings at an international conference on magnetic resonance in medicine (ISMRM). Close upon a lively discussion followed an invitation to Los Angeles with the purpose of a joint analysis of the behavior of implants in magnetic resonance tomography. A research visit of 11 weeks not only set the starting point for a promising German-American cooperation, but also yielded first results that will be presented at the ISMRM 2018 in Paris.

A personal report from Johannes Erhardt can be found here.
