Juergen Steigert worked as PhD student and since 2008 as head of the “Tools for Cells” group at IMTEK. Now, he was offered a permanent position as R&D-Engineer at the Corporate Research Center of the Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart as of September 2009.

At the CDN Live conference, Cadence awarded the prizes for its European electronic design contest for students. In the PhD category, a team from the University of Freiburg was honored. Joachim Becker and Fabian Henrici from the microelectronics lab had filed a study over "A Field Programmable Analog Array (FPAA) for reconfigurable instantiation of continuous-time filters". This prize also carried a value of €2000.
After 9 years in Freiburg PD. Dr. Jens Ducrée accepts an offer as associate professor for “Microsystem Technologies” at the Biomedical Diagnostics Institute at the Dublin City University in Ireland as of May 2008.
